Open the doors to divine union...

I consider the teachings and meditation technique taught in this video to be my most precious possessions, because these practices are allowing me to open my inner doors to union with the Divine. I prayed for peace of mind, and I prayed to know who "I AM" really is, and this technique was my answer. It allows me to quiet my mind enough to experience the endless expanse and utter FREEDOM of God's pure consciousness. In quieting my mind, I find to my delight, that Joy is the essence of who we all really are. You can discover this! This essence of JOY will give you guidance and answers on life's difficult journey. It will enable you live your life in love and compassion, helping to transform our suffering world from the inside out. I checked out this video and accompanying book after I saw an advertisement in a Yoga magazine. The packaging is well done and pleasant on the eyes but the information isn't anything new. You can learn this type of mediation through any new agey type yoga book. Save your money!

Norman Paulsen, ordained in Kriya Yoga by his teacher Paramahansa Yogananda, speaks about his direct experiences in cosmic consciousness, interwoven with beautiful illustrations and music. Through his profound experiences and the unfolding of their mysteries, Paulsen shares so humbly in this video his realizations of the cosmology of the creation and the existence of the sacred cosmic forces of I Am That I Am.
I have found that this practice and the path of right living further explained in his accompanying book on Sacred Science has helped me find that place of stillness within me, that seat of intuition, that place that Jesus said, "Be still and know that I Am God." But most of all, with diligent practice and great desire, I have experienced that pearl of great price about which Norman speaks, that brilliance of God entering into me and changing my life forever. If this is what you are looking for, this video and book can be a valuable aid to you in whatever religious practice you pursue.
Norman's life demonstrates that the realizations and teachings of Kriya are not limited to just one group. Nor can God be institutionalized.
Paulsen's fearlessness and courage are a contribution to all humanity and toward religous tolerance and God realization, subjects his beloved teacher Yogananda strongly pursued.

Not Paramahansa Yogananda's Kriya Yoga

I've seen Norman Paulsen's video and read the book that goes with it, The Sacred Science of Meditation. If you're looking for the Kriya Yoga that Paramahansa Yogananda taught then please look into getting the "real thing" through the organization Yogananda himself founded for disseminating his teachings including Kriya, the Self Realization Fellowship of Los Angeles, CA. Norman Pausen tries to use Yogananda's name to give his own teaching some clout. Why he would even refer to himself as a direct disciple of Yogananda and yet change Kriya with his own innovations is beyond me. Loyalty and having a Guru like Yogananda are an essential part of the Kriya Yoga path. Norman Paulsen has said in his advertisements that this his own technique is the "complete kriya yoga". Don't be deceived. If you want to get the Kriya technique of Yogananda then call Self Realization Fellowship.

Sacred Science is about a way of life and a powerful method of meditation that can illuminate the way through the Kingdom of God, to the Gates of Heaven and Christ consciousness. The author, Norman Paulsen is a life-long student of Christ Jesus as well as a direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda. It follows that the concepts and meditations he offers are a path to the pure Self within, and the Kingdom of Heaven.The path leads the reader through meditation, conduct, study, speech, association, nourishment, work and recreation, and the vessel is virtue. To attempt to live the 12 virtues...loyalty, patience, honesty, perseverance, compassion, continence, equanimity, courage, humility, temperance, charity and faith, is to "...plant positive seeds in the field of power around us. The law of cause and effect has no choice but to return these efforts
toward virtue towards us." Sacred Science is more than theology; it actually offers us a way of life. Mr. Paulsen shows us how, when and where to meditate, and why. With proficiency we can achieve transformation and "...feel the life and the light of Christ, the strength, the exhilaration, the inner comfort and knowing. You will watch your life change as the quickening of the divine evolution begins." The goal is illumination and the vision of I Am That I Am.
