I have used this book exclusively when working with children who have speech disorders as well as a tongue thrust.The author is a delight to read and very good at explaining how the different techniques are done. As a speech-language pathologist, I have found the material easy to understand and follow. Dr. Barrett's program is intense and requires an observer, or coach, but it corrects the swallow in a period of 7 to 8 weeks.
